    Birth to 5 screening

    On Friday, March 20th, 2020 from 8:40 a.m. - 11:20 a.m., Sumner County Educational Services and Futures Unlimited, Inc. will offer free developmental screening to children birth through 5 years of age. If you are interested in how your child is growing and developing, please call the school office at 620-892-5212 (ext 2) to schedule an appointment. Parents, there are 5 stations that your child will go through, so please plan to spend at least an hour at the screening. If your child is currently enrolled in South Haven’s preschool, or is on an IFSP/IEP, it is not necessary to have him/her screened. If you have any questions or concerns, please talk with your child’s teacher. 

     This is a cooperative effort among Sumner County Educational Services Interlocal District #619, Futures Unlimited, Inc. and USD #509.

    Regional Basketball Continues

    #4 seed South Haven boys won their first game of the Regional against Oxford 59-49 and will play Udall, the #1 seed in the regional, on Thursday, 2/27 @ 7:30 PM at Central. #3 seed South Haven girls won their first game against Oxford 40-21 and take on #2 seed Argonia at Central on Friday, 2/28, at 7:30 PM. Come cheer on the Cardinals as they compete for the Regional Championship!

    Junior High Students Compete in Regional Science Fair - Cole Going to State!

    Three junior high students competed at the Regional Science Fair at Exploration Place on Friday, February 21. Cole Theurer's project was on the gripping power of different types of tape. Aubrey Pond and Jacee Theurer collaborated to make a project on the chemistry of making ice cream. Cole received 1st place in his division and will be going to State Science Fair on March 27-28.

    The freshman class are having a fundraiser selling tacos and enchiladas from Fabiola's . And who doesn't like Fabiola's tacos and enchiladas! You can also order their wonderful queso by the pint. You can order from any freshman or Mrs. Blunk. Orders and money need to be turned in by March 16, and will be delivered to you on March 23. Treat yourself to a great meal and help the freshman class at the same time!


    Time to Sign Up for Rec Softball and Baseball

    baseball and softballBaseball and softball season is already upon us, and teams are beginning to practice. That means it is time to get registered for South Haven Rec baseball and softball. Deadline to register is Friday, March 6. Registration forms should be returned to Twaila Wiley at the school. The forms and scholarship form are linked below.
